The honest take
Roamy and Triply solve the same core problem— turning your TikTok and Instagram saves into real trips. They're the only two apps doing this well. But the experience is different once you dig in.
Accuracy is the biggest gap.Roamy users on Trustpilot report that the AI generates locations in the wrong country — searching for "Bali" and getting spots in Crete and Mumbai. Road trip itineraries jump between cities 8 hours apart in illogical order. Triply verifies every spot against Yelp and Google Places data, which means the locations are real and the routes make geographic sense.
Pricing is a factor.Roamy's premium runs around $19/month ($228/year) or $50/year, and the free tier is limited to 12 imports. That's barely enough to test the app. Several users also report being charged immediately despite a "7-day free trial" promise.
Platform availability matters.Roamy is iOS only. If anyone in your travel group has Android, they can't participate. Triply is on both platforms.
Credit where it's due: Roamy has a larger user base and a polished UI. Their community guides feature — where you can browse and duplicate other people's itineraries — is a nice touch. The concept is solid, it's the execution that has issues.
